Spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Captain 2nd rank Dmytro Pletenchuk stated that the creation of Russian sea drones is an attempt to follow the Ukrainian experience of using such robotic systems. He emphasized that the occupiers are trying to copy Ukrainian developments, but this puts them in a catching-up position.

'Whoever imitates someone will always be behind. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are solving new tasks and developing new technologies, while the Russian invaders will try to either copy outdated solutions,' the spokesman noted.

Pletenchuk noted that Ukraine is a leader in the use of unmanned maritime systems not only at the military level but also globally. At the same time, he acknowledged that the Russians would try to improve their drones, which creates certain risks for Ukraine.

'The Russians will definitely try to expand the use of sea drones. We understand this threat and are preparing for it,' the military emphasized.

The Ukrainian military noted that Russia will attempt to follow the Ukrainian experience in using sea drones, but this means that it will remain the lagging party. Ukraine, on the other hand, is working on innovative solutions and technologies in this field, allowing it to remain at the forefront. Such actions by the Russian invaders may pose dangers for Ukraine, so the Ukrainian military is preparing for possible challenges.
