August 2025: Record 7,900 Electric Vehicles Registered in Ukraine

August 2025 has become a true record month for the electric vehicle market in Ukraine. According to the 'Ukravtoprom' association, last month the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was replenished with over 7,900 battery electric vehicles (BEVs). This is 13% more than in July!



Market Details: New and Used Cars


The lion's share of sales, namely 7,770 units, consisted of passenger electric vehicles. Particularly impressive is the growth in demand for new cars — their numbers increased by 19% to 1,888 units. The market for used electric vehicles also shows steady growth — 5,882 cars have found new owners, 12% more than in the previous month.

  • 3. Honda e:NS1 (202 units) — another crossover that stands out with its minimalist design and smart technologies. It is part of Honda's global electric strategy and is positioned as a comfortable urban vehicle.



  • 4. BYD Sea Lion 07 (154 units) — this electric coupe-crossover competes with the Tesla Model Y. The car impresses with its sporty design, advanced safety technologies, and dynamic performance.



  • 5. Audi Q4 e-tron (109 units) — a premium German electric vehicle that combines brand quality, elegant design, and high comfort levels. It is built on the same platform as the Volkswagen ID.Unyx but offers a more luxurious experience.

  • 1. Tesla Model Y (827 units) — the most popular crossover in the world remains the undisputed leader also in Ukraine, owing to its combination of long range, fast charging, and advanced technologies.



  • 2. Tesla Model 3 (651 units) — the most affordable sedan from Tesla, which has won drivers' love with its dynamics, sleek design, and high efficiency.



  • 3. Nissan Leaf (562 units) — one of the pioneers of mass electric mobility. Due to its accessible price and proven reliability, it remains a great option for those who are just starting their journey in electric transport.



  • 4. KIA Niro EV (367 units) — this crossover is a versatile choice for city and suburban driving. It offers a comfortable interior, long range, and excellent build quality.



  • 5. Renault Zoe (263 units) — a compact hatchback, ideal for urban conditions. It is known for its maneuverability and low energy consumption.




Commercial Transport: Minimal Growth


In the market for commercial electric vehicles, the situation is more stable: of 175 sold cars, only 24 were new. This indicates that Ukrainian businesses are still cautiously transitioning to electric transport, preferring proven gasoline and diesel models.



In August 2025, the electric vehicle market in Ukraine showed significant development, with impressive sales growth for both new and used electric vehicles. The popularity of models from Tesla, BYD, and other leading manufacturers indicates a gradual adoption of sustainable, low-emission transportation solutions.
