Statement by the President of Ukraine
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that the end of martial law in the country is possible only after receiving security guarantees from international partners. He emphasized that martial law will be lifted only after the end of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
Negotiations with the USA
During the negotiations that took place in Florida between Zelensky and former US President Donald Trump, the issue of support from the USA was discussed, which has been agreed upon at 100%. Collective security guarantees from the USA and Europe have reached 90%. Zelensky proposed to Trump to provide Ukraine with security guarantees for a period of 30 to 50 years. Trump, in turn, expressed his willingness to visit Kyiv and speak in the Verkhovna Rada.
Moreover, the leaders of the European Union expect real steps from the Kremlin that will confirm its openness to negotiations. According to Zelensky, the negotiations demonstrated complete unity regarding military support and security guarantees.
'Martial law will end when the Russo-Ukrainian war does,' said President Volodymyr Zelensky.
President Zelensky's statements confirm the importance of international support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. Security guarantees from the USA and Europe are critically important for the stability and security of the country, as well as for the possibility of ending martial law. This also shows Ukraine's active diplomatic efforts on the international stage and its desire to ensure long-term guarantees for its sovereignty.
