A powerful explosion occurred in the city of Melitopol, which is temporarily under occupation. As a result, five fighters from the Russian unit 'Akhmat', known for its allegiance to Ramzan Kadyrov, were killed.
According to information from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the special operation was conducted jointly by the Ukrainian military intelligence forces and the local resistance movement.
The explosion occurred on the outskirts of the city. Reports indicate that a minibus, which was carrying soldiers of the so-called 'careerists', was hit. All five died on the spot. Additionally, two other occupants in a nearby vehicle were injured as a result of the detonation. Their current condition is not specified.
A mobile electronic warfare (EW) complex used by the Russian troops to suppress communication and monitor the movements of Ukrainian forces was also destroyed.
