Volodin's Allegations Against Ukrainian Security Services
Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of Russia's State Duma, has publicly claimed that Ukrainian security services are behind a TikTok trend that encourages users to post offensive content about teachers. In a statement on his Telegram channel, Volodin asserted this is a deliberate provocation designed to draw Russian children into spreading destructive material. He alleges the trend is being promoted to audiences in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine itself.
Volodin cited complaints about the illegal spread of insulting videos targeting educators on social networks. He insisted that similar incidents in Belarus and Kazakhstan are also the work of Ukrainian special services and their sponsors.
"In this way, they are using children to attract an audience to their resources, only to then draw them into prohibited communities and spread destructive content among them and through them," Volodin stated.

The trend in question uses an audio track featuring lines from the popular series 'Stranger Things' and includes insults directed at Ukrainian teachers. One specific target is Alina Mets, a teacher from Chernivtsi. Volodin also warned that sharing such videos in Russia could lead to criminal liability, with fines applicable to individuals as young as 16 years old. This warning comes amid heightened Russian legislation concerning online speech and perceived "foreign influence."
