Attack on the InterCity+ passenger train
Last night, the Russian occupation army struck a civilian passenger train, damaging part of the InterCity+ high-speed trains. This was reported, citing 'Ukrzaliznytsia' on 'Glaсkom'.
The fire was extinguished, but one of the trains was seriously damaged. Fortunately, the workers managed to hide in shelters, and no one was injured. The flights will not be canceled, a replacement train will be launched. We will provide information on delays, and we are also restoring the damaged infrastructure. Due to issues in Kozyatin, some trains are taking alternative routes.
It is worth noting that in the Vinnytsia region, there have already been delays due to the attack and damage to the railway infrastructure. Some flights have changed their routes, and those currently on the damaged section are moving with backup locomotives.
On the night of August 28, the Russian occupation army attacked Ukraine, firing drones and rockets at Kyiv. Four residents of the city died, and 24 were injured. Additionally, due to the attack in Kyiv, air pollution was recorded – the air quality index reached 182.
