Russian forces escalated their attacks on Ukrainian positions over a 24-hour period, launching one missile strike, 70 airstrikes, dropping 201 guided aerial bombs, and deploying 5,418 kamikaze drones. The total number of artillery and mortar shellings reached 2,476, indicating a significant intensification of hostilities along the front line. As of 10:00 PM on February 12, 132 separate combat engagements had been recorded. This surge in activity comes as the war enters its 1450th day, underscoring the conflict's protracted and grinding nature.
Situation Across Various Fronts
Fighting remained most intense on the Pokrovsk direction. Over the course of the day, 36 occupiers were eliminated and 17 were wounded. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed or damaged:
- 4 units of automotive equipment,
- 98 unmanned aerial vehicles,
- 2 artillery systems,
- 15 shelters.
On the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, 1 combat engagement and 53 shelling incidents were reported, including 2 involving multiple launch rocket systems. Russian forces also conducted 1 airstrike and dropped 3 guided bombs. The South-Slobozhansky direction saw 11 assault attempts in the areas of Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Kolodyazne, Grafskе, Prylipka, and Vovchanski Khutory, alongside 4 combat clashes.
On the Kupiansk direction, an attack was recorded near Pishchane. Ukrainian defenders halted 3 attacks on the Lyman direction in the areas of Stavky and Serednie, aimed towards Lyman. The Sloviansk direction also came under pressure, with 6 enemy attempts to advance towards Sviato-Pokrovske, Yampil, Platonivka, and Zakytne being repelled.
The Kostiantynivka direction experienced 12 assault attempts, though no active fighting ensued. The Pokrovsk direction was the scene of 34 attacks, including in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Bilytske, Novopidhorodne, Dachne, Ivanivka, and Udachne, with 4 assaults still ongoing.
No offensive actions were reported on the Oleksandrivka direction, but airstrikes were recorded near Havrylivka, Novoukrainka, Malynivka, Velykomykhailivka, Staromlynivka, and Shevchenkivske. The Huliaipole direction was targeted in 24 attacks, particularly near Huliaipole and other settlements, with airstrikes conducted in various areas.
