Winner of the competition for the development of the lithium deposit 'Dobra Site'

For the first time in Ukraine, a winner has been selected for the competition to develop the lithium deposit 'Dobra Site', located in the Kirovohrad region. The winner is the consortium Dobra Lithium Holdings JV, LLC, whose shareholders are Techmet and The Rock Holdings. This agreement has been concluded within the framework of a production sharing agreement, opening new opportunities for investment in the mineral resources sector.

Investments and the significance of the project

The total amount of capital investments planned under this project is 179 million US dollars. Of this amount, 12 million dollars will be directed towards new geological exploration and an international audit of reserves. The other 167 million dollars are planned to be invested in the extraction and enrichment of lithium in the event of confirmed industrial reserves.

Yulia Sviridenko, a government representative, noted:

“This pilot project for mineral development is an important step for Ukraine.”

She also emphasized that the project will provide a boost for attracting more investors into the Ukrainian economy. The Prime Minister of the country added that this project opens unprecedented opportunities for Ukraine to enter the highly competitive and high-tech global lithium industry alongside systemic American partners.

Thus, the development of the lithium deposit 'Dobra Site' could become an important stage in the development of the Ukrainian economy and attracting foreign investment. This project will not only contribute to the growth of the extraction of strategic resources but will also strengthen Ukraine's position on the world stage, considering the increasing demand for lithium due to the transition to green technologies and electric mobility.
