Internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine now have the right to apply for a state subsidy for rented housing. This is reported by TSN.
What documents are needed to apply for a subsidy for rented housing
The subsidy can be issued either at the place of registration or at the actual place of residence. If the family rents a home, the rental agreement becomes the basis for the allowance. For internally displaced persons, the key document is the IDP certificate. To submit an application, a statement and a declaration in the established forms are mandatory. In certain cases, additional documents may be required:
-
rental agreement — if the applicant lives in hired premises;
-
a copy of the debt restructuring agreement — if available and a corresponding agreement is made;
-
IDP certificate — for the appointment of a subsidy at the actual place of residence.

Ukraine has a comprehensive social assistance system for displaced persons: this includes monetary payments, compensation for utility costs, and support for employment. The additional subsidy for rent has become a response to the needs of people who do not have their own housing and are forced to rent it at market prices.
Earlier we wrote that the PFU appointed subsidies for IDPs under the 'Prykhystok'.
