Today we honor the memory of millions of Ukrainians who became victims of the Holodomor. It was an act of genocide, a brutal crime of the totalitarian regime against the Ukrainian nation.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko, emphasized: 'It is our duty to remember the truth and speak about it.' The Ministry of Internal Affairs has digitized thousands of documents and criminal cases from the Holodomor period, available on an interactive map, and published a book 'Holodomor 1932–1933: genocide of the Ukrainian people,' which contains unique information and oral testimonies. In addition, documentation of war crimes of the current aggression of Russia against the civilian population is ongoing.
Igor Klymenko emphasized that this is important work for restoring historical justice. Light memory to all innocent victims of the Holodomor.
