The nationwide financial literacy testing has concluded – it's time to summarize and look at the results. From October 31 to November 7, 60,137 people participated in the testing – this is 16% more than last year. 34,724 participants completed the test fully. Of these, 17% answered all questions correctly and received the maximum score (in 2024, 13% of participants were 'excellent students' and answered correctly to all questions).
For comparison: last year, 23,237 people completed the test fully, meaning there were 49% more such participants this year. This indicates that more and more Ukrainians are eager to test their financial knowledge and find out how well they manage their finances.
Results of the testing
According to the test results, 49% of participants achieved a high level of knowledge, while 45% had an average level. Last year, these figures were 59% and 39%, respectively.
Gift draw
Among participants who shared their results on social media with the hashtag #NBU_fincheck and fulfilled the conditions of the draw, we will raffle off 20 gift boxes. The announcement of winners will take place by November 15.
Level of financial literacy
ℹ Please note that the results of the nationwide testing are not representative for determining the level of financial literacy of all Ukrainians, as such data are established through separate sociological studies with samples that encompass all layers of the population.
The level of financial literacy in Ukraine is determined by the methodology of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, which examines a complex of knowledge, skills, and abilities that enable a person to make informed and effective financial decisions. The last such study in Ukraine took place in 2021.
The nationwide financial literacy testing showed an increase in the number of participants and a high and average level of knowledge among those who completed the test. A gift draw among participants who shared their results on social media has also been announced.
