All-Ukrainian Student Leagues: registration for competitions in 4 sports has begun

In Ukraine, registration for teams has begun for the first All-Ukrainian Student Leagues, covering 24 regions and the city of Kyiv. Competitions will take place in four sports: futsal, volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading. The student selection stage will be held at higher education institutions, ensuring active student participation in sports events.

Competition zones and student participation

The competitions are divided into four zones, each consisting of six regions and Kyiv. Winners of the regional stage will represent their regions at the interregional level. Students in full-time education can participate in the competitions with no age restrictions, except for colleges and vocational education institutions. Relocated universities have the opportunity to choose the region for participation, promoting broad involvement of students from across the country.

Oleksiy Ku leba, commenting on the importance of this project, noted: 'Today, when every community in Ukraine is fighting for its future, student leagues are not just a sports event. They unite and bring together! All-Ukrainian Student Leagues are not only about sports, but also about community cohesion, the development of youth engagement. This is another step towards a strong, united Ukraine where youth are the driving force of change.'

Student leagues aim not only to increase the level of sportsmanship but also to strengthen social ties among students, which is an important aspect of modern Ukrainian society.

The All-Ukrainian Student Leagues represent an important initiative to engage youth in sports and active civic life. The establishment of these competitions in the context of the current challenges facing Ukraine emphasizes their role in shaping unity and social cohesion. Such events can contribute not only to the development of sporting skills but also to creating new opportunities for communication and cooperation among students from different regions of the country.
