In 2025, admission to Ukrainian universities will have new rules. According to the Admission Procedure, most specialties will establish their own minimum competitive scores.
This score will be calculated based on the results of the NMT tests. For each specialty, the Ministry of Education has established weighting coefficients for all test subjects.
For popular specialties, higher requirements have been established. The minimum competitive score for admission, both for contract and budget, cannot be less than 150 points for such specialties as International Relations, Public Administration and Management, Law, International Law, Dentistry, Medicine, Pediatrics, Medical Psychology, Pharmacy (by specialties).
For all other applicants, the minimum competitive score for budget admission based on full general secondary education cannot be less than 130 points. An exception is made for children of fallen servicemen and police officers who died in captivity, or servicemen recognized as missing, who benefit from special admission conditions.
In 2025, admission to universities in Ukraine will be much more difficult due to new rules for determining minimum competitive scores. Minimum scores will be established for popular specialties and other applicants, making the competition for budget places significantly more intense.
