The Escape of Andrii Kryndushkin from the UAE
In 2016, Ukrainian blogger Andrii Kryndushkin executed a dramatic escape from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). His elaborate plan involved using a forged Lithuanian passport under the name Arūnas Cvetkevičius and transiting through Doha, Qatar, with the final destination of Zanzibar. While in Zanzibar, Kryndushkin suffered a bite from a venomous sea snake, locally known as a 'diaba'.
Kryndushkin had been evading Interpol for a significant period. His detailed escape strategy required him to exit the UAE with one set of documents and then switch to a 'clean', unstamped Lithuanian passport in the transit zone of Doha's airport. The blogger recounts that after passing through airport control, he received a passport stamp reading 'Hakuna Matata'.
'I was Arūnas Cvetkevičius. I understood that at that moment, I was completely lost. Andrii was no more,' he stated.
The Ordeal in Zanzibar
In Zanzibar, Kryndushkin became the victim of a sea snake bite. He recalls local residents predicting he had no more than two hours to live after the incident.
'I was bitten there by a sea snake... a diaba. It pierced my fingers. I sat in a live stream with viewers, saying goodbye. I got drunk, I even brought my last bottle of whiskey with me. Maybe that's why I survived?' the blogger shared in his recollection.Despite the grave prognosis, Kryndushkin managed to survive the venomous bite.

'By the way, it was the first time I listened well to myself, that I was a good person, you know, not a swindler, not a pimp,' he concluded.
