The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has established a Temporary Investigative Commission to investigate possible violations by officials, but the State Border Guard Service, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office were not included in the work of the commission. They commented on the departure of the main figure in the 'Midas' case, Timur Mindich, but were not involved in the investigation.
The investigation process is already being handled by the Security Service, the National Police, the State Customs Service, and other specified authorities. No criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding Mindich's escape abroad so far. At the same time, the former prosecutor of SAP believes that some methods to prevent the escape of figures were not used in this case.
