Update on Russian Occupant Losses
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the data on Russian occupant losses as of January 9, 2026. According to the information, Russia has lost about 1,216,930 personnel, which is 1,030 more than in the previous report. Additionally, significant losses have been incurred in equipment.
Equipment Losses
In particular, Russian troops have lost:
- 11,526 tanks (+5)
- 23,882 armoured fighting vehicles (+8)
- 35,892 artillery systems (+18)
- 1,596 multiple launch rocket systems
- 1,269 air defense systems
- 434 aircraft
- 347 helicopters
- 102,761 operational-tactical level drones (+687)
- 4,137 cruise missiles
- 28 ships and boats
- 2 submarines
- 73,426 units of automotive equipment and tankers (+90)
- 4,037 units of special equipment
This data reflects the 1,416th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
The updated data on Russian troop losses provides important information about the course of the conflict, which has been ongoing for over four years. Significant personnel and equipment losses indicate the continuation of intense fighting at the front.
