Updated Figures on Russian Military Casualties

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff has released updated figures on Russian military losses as of the morning of March 14, 2026. These numbers correspond to the 1480th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine, with enemy casualties continuing to mount.

As of March 13, 2026, Russia's personnel losses in the war are approximately 1,278,430, an increase of 810 from the previous report. The data also shows increases in several categories of equipment:

  • tanks to 11,777 units (+4)
  • armored combat vehicles to 24,212 units (+10)
  • artillery systems to 38,421 units (+52)
  • multiple launch rocket systems to 1,686 units (+1)
  • air defense systems to 1,332 units (+1)

Losses in the Air Component

Losses in the air component remain stable, with aircraft at 435 units and helicopters at 349 units. However, a significant increase was recorded in operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, now at 177,286 units (+2,147). The count of cruise missiles held steady at 4,403 units, and ships/boats at 31 units. The data also lists 2 submarines, 83,403 units of automotive equipment and tanker trucks (+180), and 4,088 units of special equipment. These figures are subject to further verification.

The updated data on Russian military personnel and equipment losses underscore the protracted and complex nature of a conflict now in its fifth year. The sustained high casualty rates highlight the intensity of the fighting and its toll on Russian forces.
