Update on the losses of Russian occupiers
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the data on the losses of Russian occupiers as of December 30, 2025. Since the beginning of the war, Russia has lost approximately 1,206,910 personnel, of which 1,220 were killed just in the last reporting period.
Losses of military equipment
Among military equipment, Russia's losses include:
- 11,477 tanks (+5)
- 23,841 armored fighting vehicles (+4)
- 35,589 artillery systems (+19)
- 1,582 units of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) (+1)
- 1,264 air defense systems (+0)
- 434 aircraft
- 347 helicopters
The losses of aviation equipment have remained unchanged since the previous report. It is also known that the losses of tactical unmanned aerial vehicles amount to 96,932 units (+400). Cruise missiles have suffered losses of 4,136 units, and the Russian naval forces have lost 28 ships/boats and 2 submarines.
In addition, 72,010 units of automotive equipment and tank trucks have been recorded (+119), and 4,031 units of special equipment (+1). As of now, the full-scale war in Ukraine has entered its 1406th day.
The updated data on the losses of the Russian military and equipment indicate the continuation of intense hostilities that have been going on for more than four years. The increase in the number of losses, particularly among personnel, may indicate the intensification of Ukrainian military actions or the difficulties faced by Russian troops. These figures may influence the further strategic decisions of both sides of the conflict and the international policy towards Ukraine.
