Russian losses in Ukraine have exceeded 1,076,940 military personnel: new data from the General Staff

According to updated information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian occupiers suffered losses as of the morning of August 25, 2025.

According to the data, in clashes with Ukraine, Russia has lost:



  • personnel – about 1,076,940 (+870) individuals;

  • tanks – 11,130 (+1) units;

  • armored combat vehicles – 23,175 (+8) units;

  • artillery systems – 31,946 (+48) units;

  • multiple rocket launchers – 1,472 (+0) units;

  • anti-aircraft systems – 1,211 (+0) units;

  • aircraft – 422 (+0) units;

  • helicopters – 340 (+0) units;

  • operational-tactical UAVs – 53,347 (+291) units;

  • cruise missiles – 3,598 (+0) units;

  • ships/boats – 28 (+0) units;

  • submarines – 1 (+0) unit;

  • automotive equipment and tank trucks – 59,672 (+79) units;

  • special vehicles – 3,948 (+4) units.



Currently, the full-scale war in Ukraine is in its 1279th day. According to the U.S. Vice President, the conflict in Ukraine may end within three to six months due to international actions. President Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainian weapons are being used to strike Russia without coordination with the U.S. Armed Forces.
