Russia losses for the day: 890 invaders and 95 drones – data from the General Staff as of August 26

According to the new data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of Russian invaders as of the morning of August 26, 2025, are as follows:

  • personnel - about 1,077,830 (+890) people;

  • tanks - 11,134 (+4) units;

  • armored fighting vehicles - 23,178 (+3) units;

  • artillery systems - 31,979 (+33) units;

  • MLRS - 1,472 (+0) units;

  • air defense systems - 1,211 (+0) units;

  • aircraft - 422 (+0) units;

  • helicopters - 340 (+0) units;

  • operational-tactical UAVs - 53,442 (+95);

  • cruise missiles - 3,598 (+0);

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0);

  • submarines - 1 (+0);

  • automotive equipment and tankers - 59,769 (+97);

  • special equipment - 3,950 (+2).



The information also notes that the full-scale war in Ukraine has entered its 1280th day. The United States hopes for the end of the conflict in the next three to six months through active diplomacy and international efforts. The US Vice President noted that, in his opinion, President Trump did more to pressure the Russians than Biden.



With the updated data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of the Russian side in the war as of August 26, 2025, have increased compared to the previous period. Hopes for a quick end to the conflict are expressed in connection with the active work of diplomacy and the efforts of the international community. Compared to previous administrations, President Trump's actions are considered more effective in pressuring Russia.
