Update on Russian Occupants' Losses

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the data on the losses of Russian occupants as of January 14, 2026. As of this date, Russia has lost approximately 1,221,940 personnel, an increase of 990 compared to previous data.

Losses of Equipment

The losses of equipment are also significant. The number of destroyed:

  • tanks: 11,550 units (+6)
  • infantry fighting vehicles: 23,902 units (+3)
  • artillery systems: 36,098 units (+74)
  • multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 1,603 units (+3)
  • air defense systems: 1,275 units (+5)

In the airspace, Russia has lost 434 aircraft (unchanged) and 347 helicopters (also unchanged). The losses of operational-tactical UAVs amount to 106,428 units (+1,074). Additionally, the number of destroyed cruise missiles equals 4,163 units (+8). Ships and boats have been recorded at 28 units (unchanged), and submarines at 2 units (also unchanged). The losses of automotive equipment and tank trucks amount to 74,119 units (+232), while special equipment losses stand at 4,042 units (unchanged).

This updated loss data is crucial for assessing the situation at the front and the overall military activity of both sides. The losses of personnel and equipment indicate a prolonged and exhausting conflict situation that has lasted for more than four years. Such statistical data can impact strategic decisions regarding the further conduct of hostilities and international support for Ukraine.
