Update on Russian Occupants' Losses

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated data on the losses of Russian occupiers as of January 15, 2026. According to this information, Russia has lost about 1,223,090 personnel, which is 1,150 more than previously reported.

Equipment Losses

Among equipment, Russia's losses are also significant. The country has recorded:

  • 11,557 tanks, of which 7 were destroyed recently;
  • 23,904 armored fighting vehicles, with an increase of 2;
  • 36,182 artillery systems, of which 84 were destroyed in the last period;
  • 1,611 multiple launch rocket systems;
  • 1,277 air defense systems;
  • 434 aircraft;
  • 107,357 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles (+929);
  • 74,306 vehicles and tank trucks (+187).

The full-scale war in Ukraine has now lasted for 1,422 days.

The updated data on Russian military losses indicate a continuation of serious losses for the occupiers across all military fronts. This could have a significant impact on Russia's further strategy in the war, as the high level of personnel and equipment losses may reduce its capabilities for conducting active combat operations. Thus, the situation at the front will remain tense, and the developments will depend on how both sides can adapt to the new conditions.
