The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russian losses as of the morning of April 3, 2026. This date marks the 1500th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine, a conflict that has become the largest in Europe since World War II.

Russia's War Casualties

As of April 3, 2026, Russia's cumulative losses in the war are estimated as follows:

  • Tanks – 11,833 (+3) units
  • Armored Combat Vehicles – 24,340 (+6) units
  • Artillery Systems – 39,293 (+65) units
  • Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) – 1,713 (+0) units
  • Air Defense Systems – 1,338 (+0) units

The sustained high rate of personnel and equipment attrition underscores the protracted and costly nature of the conflict for Russia. These figures, provided by Ukrainian military intelligence, suggest a significant drain on Russia's military resources. Meanwhile, Ukraine's continued active defense demonstrates its resilience and ability to maintain pressure on the invading forces across the front lines.
