The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the data on the losses of Russian occupiers as of January 4, 2026. According to new information, Russia has lost approximately 1,211,530 personnel, which is an increase of 900 compared to the previous data.

Significant losses for Russia

Among other significant losses, Russia has suffered losses amounting to:

  • 11,499 tanks (+2)
  • 23,855 armored fighting vehicles (+0)
  • 35,756 artillery systems (+12)
  • 1,590 multiple launch rocket systems
  • 1,268 air defense systems (+1)
  • 434 aircraft
  • 347 helicopters
  • 99,860 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles (+278)
  • 4,137 cruise missiles
  • 28 ships/boats
  • 2 submarines
  • 72,776 units of automotive vehicles and tank trucks (+88)
  • 4,035 units of special equipment

As of today, the full-scale war in Ukraine has reached its 1,411th day.

The updated data on the losses of Russian troops indicate the continuation of intense fighting on the territory of Ukraine, as well as the significant losses that Russia is incurring. These figures may reflect not only military failures but also potential issues with army recruitment, which could impact the further evolution of the conflict.
