The Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the information on Russian occupiers' losses as of the morning of July 2, 2025.
Russian losses in the war as of July 2, 2025
As of July 2, Russia has suffered the following losses in the war with Ukraine:
- personnel - about 1,022,090 people;
- tanks - 10,985 units;
- armored combat vehicles - 22,931 units;
- artillery systems - 29,794 units;
- MLRS - 1,427 units;
- air defense systems - 1,191 units;
- airplanes - 420 units;
- helicopters - 340 units;
- operational-tactical drones - 43,013;
- cruise missiles - 3,436;
- ships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- automotive vehicles and fuel trucks - 53,786 units;
- special equipment - 3,921 units.
Occupants' fleet activity as of July 2
- In the Black Sea, there is only one enemy ship without cruise missile carriers;
- there are no recorded enemy ships in the Sea of Azov;
- in the Mediterranean Sea, there are three enemy ships and one cruise missile carrier 'Caliber', which can launch up to four missiles.
Over the past day, the occupiers carried out the following transitions through the Kerch Strait:
- into the Black Sea - three vessels;
- into the Sea of Azov - five vessels, three of which were moving from the Bosporus Strait.
Currently, the 1,225th day of full-scale war in Ukraine is ongoing.
In the war with Ukraine as of the morning of July 2, 2025, Russia has suffered significant losses in both personnel and equipment. The activity of its fleet in various maritime directions is also noted. Furthermore, the occupiers continue to carry out transitions through the Kerch Strait. The conflict has lasted for over three years, and both sides continue active military operations.
