Russian losses exceeded 1.1 million military personnel: new data from the General Staff as of September 20

The morning update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brought new data on the losses of Russian occupiers in the war as of September 20, 2025.

According to the General Staff, the Russian Federation has suffered the following losses in the conflict against Ukraine as of September 20:



  • personnel - about 1,100,600 (+1,070) individuals;

  • tanks - 11,192 (+1) units;

  • armored fighting vehicles - 23,280 (+2) units;

  • artillery systems - 32,927 (+31) units;

  • MLRS - 1,492 (+0) units;

  • air defense systems - 1,218 (+0) units;

  • airplanes - 422 (+0) units;

  • helicopters - 341 (+0) units;

  • tactical level drones - 61,045 (+365) units;

  • cruise missiles - 3,718 (+0) units;

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0) units;

  • submarines - 1 (+0) unit;

  • automotive equipment and tankers - 62,168 (+124) units;

  • special equipment - 3,968 (+3) units.



We remind you that the full-scale war in Ukraine is now ongoing for the 1305th day.



The morning update from the General Staff revealed fresh numbers of the losses of Russian occupiers in the war against Ukraine. According to the updated data, the militants have suffered serious losses in various areas, confirming the depletion of resources in recent battles. The gradual degradation of Russian military capabilities may have significant implications for the conflict in the future.
