Russian losses exceeded 1.19 million soldiers: new data from the General Staff as of December 21

According to fresh data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it has become known that as of the morning of this Sunday, December 21, 2025, Russian occupiers have again suffered losses in the war.

During the war with Ukraine as of December 21, the Russian Federation has suffered the following losses:




  • personnel – about 1,196,740 (+1,130) people;

  • tanks – 11,435 (+2) units;

  • combat armored vehicles – 23,770 (+1) units;

  • artillery systems – 35,298 (+11) units;

  • multiple launch rocket systems – 1,575 (+0) units;

  • air defense systems – 1,263 (+0) units;

  • airplanes – 432 (+0) units;

  • helicopters – 347 (+0) units;

  • operational-tactical drones – 92,604 (+116) units;

  • cruise missiles – 4,073 (+0) units;

  • ships / boats – 28 (+0) units;

  • submarines – 2 (+0) units;

  • automotive vehicles and tank trucks – 70,789 (+68) units;

  • special equipment – 4,029 (+1) unit.



It is also worth noting that since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the conflict has lasted for 1,397 days.



Updated data on the losses of Russian occupiers in the war with Ukraine, along with the duration of the conflict, indicate the continuation of active actions by the Ukrainian army and armed forces aimed at defending the sovereignty of the state.
