Russia has lost over one million soldiers in the war: new data from the General Staff as of August 7

As of Thursday morning, August 7, 2025, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the data on the losses of Russian occupiers.



Russia's losses as of August 7, 2025


According to the report, as of the morning of August 7, the Russian Federation has suffered the following losses in the war with Ukraine:



  • personnel - approximately 1,060,310 (+1,040) people,

  • tanks - 11,076 (+4) units,

  • armored fighting vehicles - 23,095 (+4) units,

  • artillery systems - 31,180 (+47) units,

  • multiple rocket launchers - 1,456 (+1) units,

  • air defense systems - 1,203 (+0) units,

  • aircraft - 421 (+0) units,

  • helicopters - 340 (+0) units,

  • operational-tactical drones - 49,930 (+163),

  • cruise missiles - 3,555 (+0),

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0) units,

  • submarines - 1 (+0) unit,

  • automotive equipment and fuel tankers - 57,605 (+130) units,

  • special equipment - 3,936 (+0).



Additionally, the full-scale war in Ukraine has been ongoing for 1,261 days.



The updated data on the losses of Russian occupiers as of August 7, 2025, indicate significant losses observed by the Ukrainian armed forces. This allows the conclusion that Ukrainian defenders are actively opposing Russian aggression and making significant efforts in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of the country.
