Ukrainian gymnast Nazar Chepurny won the bronze medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. This is the only prize for Ukraine at these competitions. Chepurny competed with an injury but still showed a worthy result.
In the main discipline - the vault - the Ukrainian showed a high level of performance and defended the title of bronze medalist with a score of 14.483 points.
«It is not that I did not expect it - I thought I would not even make it to the finals. I do not know why I felt that way. Because of the overall mood of the preparation, which did not go according to plan - I did not believe that any result could be achieved. But, given the situation, I had to do my job, and thank God it was enough.»
In the overall rankings, the winner was Carlos Yulo, and the second place went to Artur Davtyan. Additionally, at the competitions, gymnast Carlos Chepurny learned a lot of new things and is ready for future challenges. Furthermore, the International Ski Federation has decided not to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to qualify for the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan.
