Last night, YouTube blocked the channel of the Base of Ukrainian sports project, which collected information about Russians supporting the war. The authors of the channel noted that their appeal against YouTube's decision was rejected.
'The channel featured dozens of videos with evidence of Russian athletes' support for the war... Perhaps this was the reason for the attack on us,' said the authors of Base of Ukrainian sports.
Russian short track skater Yana Egoryan won a gold medal at the World Fencing Championship, defeating a Polish athlete in the final with a score of 15:11. Egoryan is an ambassador of a Russian public movement promoting patriotic education among citizens, which operates in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and is involved in the abduction of Ukrainian children. Egoryan is also a lieutenant in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
State Duma deputy Fetisov reacted hysterically to the decision of the organizers of the Vilnius marathon not to recognize the results of Russian and Belarusian athletes. He called this mockery and urged people not to participate in such competitions. The Vilnius marathon is scheduled for September 14.
