New Types of State Assistance in Ukraine
As of January 1, 2026, new types of state assistance will be introduced in Ukraine for families with young children. In particular, financial support will be provided for the care of children under one year old and children aged from one to three years. These changes are aimed at improving conditions for parents raising infants.
Types of Assistance
- The first type of assistance will be available for children until they reach one year of age. This means that parents will be able to receive support for newborns and children who have not yet reached this age.
- The second type of assistance, named 'eCrèche', will be designed for children aged from one to three years. Assistance will be available for children born before January 1, 2026, provided that on that date the child has not yet turned one year or three years old.
To receive the new types of assistance, parents will need to submit the appropriate application. The detailed procedure and conditions for payments are yet to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. These innovations represent an important step in supporting families with young children in Ukraine.
The introduction of new types of state assistance reflects the Ukrainian government's desire to support families, particularly those raising small children, during a difficult economic period. This measure may positively impact the demographic situation in the country, encouraging parents to increase the number of children in families, as well as improving conditions for their upbringing. An important aspect is the details of the program's implementation, which still need to be discussed and approved, requiring attention from society and experts.
