Kyiv Tram Routes Altered for Track Repairs from March 9

У Києві зміняться маршрути трамваїв через ремонти колій, починаючи з 9 березня.

Kyiv Tram Service Adjustments

From March 9 to March 20, tram routes 11, 12, 16, and 19 in Kyiv will be rerouted due to track repairs on Kyrylivska Street. Kyivpastrans, the city's public transport authority, announced the changes. The repair work will be conducted daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding weekends.

Trams 11, 12, and 16 will operate from Yordanska Street, Pushcha-Vodytsia, and the Heroiv Dnipra metro station to Sema Skliarenka Street. Tram 19 will run from Kontraktova Square to the Stadion Spartak stop.

To maintain passenger service during the repairs, a temporary bus route, number 19-T, has been established. This bus will run from:

  • Spaska Street
  • Mezhyhirska Street
  • Shchekavytska Street
  • Kostiantynivska Street
  • Olenivska Street
  • Kyrylivska Street
  • Syretska Street
  • Sema Skliarenka Street
  • Avtozavodska Street
  • Polarna Street
  • Taras Shevchenko Square

For the return journey, the bus will travel via Polarna Street, Avtozavodska Street, Sema Skliarenka Street, Syretska Street, Kyrylivska Street, Shchekavytska Street, Kostiantynivska Street, and Spaska Street back to Kontraktova Square.

Further Public Transport Modifications

Separately, since March 4, electric transport routes have also been adjusted due to repairs at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Street and Honoré de Balzac Street. These infrastructure projects are part of ongoing efforts to improve road surfaces and ensure transport safety across the capital.

The tram reroutes are a necessary step for Kyiv's municipal services to maintain and upgrade the city's aging transport infrastructure. While such temporary changes can cause inconvenience for commuters, they are essential for long-term safety and reliability. The provision of a replacement bus service aims to minimize disruption for residents during the construction period.
