This week an important event took place – Ukrainian law enforcement was able to extradite a criminal from Germany who participated in human trafficking under the guise of surrogate motherhood. The woman from Kharkiv was part of this criminal organization and for years deceived expectant mothers into surrogate motherhood programs.
After extensive investigation work and cooperation with international partners, the woman was detained and extradited to Ukraine. The court has already chosen a preventive measure for her, and now the trial against other participants of this criminal scheme is underway. Law enforcement continues the fight against human trafficking to ensure the safety and rights of citizens.
