From Paris to Manchester: the star Italian goalkeeper has changed his residence

Зірковий італійський воротар отримав новий дім, перемістившись з Парижа до Манчестера.

The main goalkeeper of the Italian national team Gianluigi Donnarumma has officially moved from the French club "Paris Saint-Germain" to the English "Manchester City". As reported by the English club's press service, the contract is set until the summer of 2030. According to MC, the club paid £39 million for the goalkeeper's transfer.

It is worth noting that the representatives of the clubs conducted quite lengthy and complicated negotiations, but as a result, the transfer was completed for 39 million euros.

The press service of "Manchester City" noted that the 26-year-old Italian goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract, under which he will remain at the "Etihad" stadium until the summer of 2030.

"Throughout his extraordinarily impressive career, Donnarumma has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in European football. He started his career at the Italian club "Milan", where, having transitioned through the youth team and making his debut for the senior team at 16 years old, he played over 250 matches and helped the Milan team win the Italian Super Cup. Then, in the summer of 2021, Donnarumma moved to France to join "Paris Saint-Germain", where he immediately made a huge impact on the club's results. During four seasons at "Parc des Princes", the goalkeeper helped PSG win four Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, and also win the Champions League" – stated the press service of the "Cityzens".

Let us remind you, the Ukrainian national football team is preparing for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and has faced issues within the squad due to goalkeeper Andriy Lunin's injury from Real Madrid. The friendly match against France and a meeting with Azerbaijan are next.

Instead of Lunin, the squad will include Georgiy Bushchan, who plays for "Al-Shabab" in Saudi Arabia.
