The government in Ukraine has made important decisions regarding preparations for the heating season. The initiatives proposed by the Ministry of Community Development aim to promote distributed generation and reduce administrative barriers.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba stated that these decisions will allow communities to have more opportunities for self-sufficient energy supply and to respond more quickly to disruptions in the energy system.
“The main goal is to provide the population with light, heat, and water even in the most difficult conditions and to ensure the resilience of the energy system to possible attacks”
- emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
Simplification of procedures and other steps
The decisions made simplify the procedures for establishing energy facilities such as boiler houses, generators, and energy storage systems.
A special price for gas for cogeneration installations and other facilities in the conflict zone has also been established. Competitions for the construction of new energy facilities have resumed.
The mechanism for obtaining permits for drilling wells for energy facilities is now in effect throughout the country. The rules for purchasing equipment for heat generation and related works have been improved.
These steps will help ensure a reliable and efficient energy system in all regions of Ukraine.
As a result of the adopted decisions, new opportunities for communities in the energy sector will arise in Ukraine, which will help enhance the country's energy security and ensure a proper level of comfort for residents during the cold period of the year.
