Russia’s Heavy Strikes Hit Ukraine
Over the past seven days, Russian forces carried out intense attacks on Ukraine, firing 61 missiles—56 of them along ballistic paths—along with over 1,560 attack drones and 1,540 air-dropped bombs. The strikes caused severe losses across the country, including in Odesa, Kharkiv, and Pavlohrad, where civilians were killed and wounded.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received reports from Serhiy Koretskyi, Mykhailo Drapatyi, and Viktor Mykyta on the impact of these strikes. In Odesa, emergency crews are working to restore electricity after attacks on the energy system. The port and several residential buildings were damaged, and at least eight people were injured.
Regional Toll and Destruction
In Kharkiv, a drone hit a residential high-rise directly, smashing through four floors and leaving dozens wounded and two dead. Zelenskyy offered condolences to the victims’ families, saying:
“In Kharkiv, a drone made a direct hit and destroyed four floors of an ordinary residential apartment block. Dozens of people were wounded, and there are two dead. My condolences.” — Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Pavlograd also came under fire, with explosions near a shopping center and energy infrastructure, leaving nine people injured, including four children. Other regions were hit as well, among them:

Zelenskyy said Russia is relying on ballistic terror that targets not just one city or community. He called for stronger international action—more sanctions against Russia and more air-defense support for Ukraine—stressing:

The latest attacks show how the conflict is intensifying and how much danger civilians still face. Strikes on critical infrastructure, especially the power grid, point to Russia’s effort to pressure Ukraine’s economy and society.
