In Poland 800+ assistance is not automatically granted, so it is crucial for parents to submit a new application in time for the next calculation period. ZUS reminds us that the new period will run from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027, and the application acceptance starts long before it begins. This is stated by InPoland.

Documents can be submitted starting from February 1, 2026. To ensure the continuity of payments, the application must be submitted no later than May 31, 2026. Delays in submission may lead to payment delays, and in some cases – to the loss of compensation for the first month.

Submitting an application for 800 Plus in 2026: key dates

ZUS explains that each calculation period requires a new application. It is important to consider the following deadlines:

  • application acceptance starts on February 1, 2026
final deadline for continuous payments – May 31, 2026

  • submission after June 30 means loss of the June payment

  • funds are accrued only from the month of application submission.

Conditions for receiving 800+ for Ukrainian families

The assistance is available for each child studying, up to 18 years old, regardless of the family's income. Additional requirements apply to Ukrainian citizens. The child must attend an educational institution in Poland, and the training data must be entered into the SIO system. Additionally, ZUS will check the employment of parents on a monthly basis.

The payment is only possible if one of the parents is officially employed with an income not lower than 50% of the minimum wage. In case of job loss, the payment may be suspended.

Applications can only be submitted online through:

  • PUE ZUS

  • mobile application mZUS

  • Emp@tia portal

  • electronic banking.

Let’s recall, Polish President Karol Nawrocki advocated for limiting assistance to Ukrainians under the '800 Plus' program and medical insurance for the unemployed.
