Polish oil producers are urging the government to lift the ban on rapeseed imports from Ukraine. The Polish Oil Producers Association (PSPO) expressed outrage and emphasized that a potential rapeseed shortage in the 2025/2026 season could seriously harm the processing industry.

According to Money.pl, producers are demanding that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reconsider the ban on Ukrainian rapeseed imports, which was imposed by the Ministry of Development and Technology's order of September 15, 2023.

It is noted that Polish enterprises may face significant difficulties due to this restriction, as they will have to start importing ready-made oil instead of raw materials, which will lead to an increase in the rapeseed deficit.

The rapeseed issue requires immediate resolution

PSPO is confident that the rapeseed issue in Poland requires immediate government intervention, as the situation worsens every year. The Ukrainian parliament has also decided to impose an export duty on soybeans and rapeseed, which may further complicate the market situation.
