Inclusive Virtual Tour Marks Barrier-Free Week
To celebrate Barrier-Free Week, the Enchanted Land National Nature Park has unveiled an inclusive virtual tour of its landscapes. The initiative lets visitors explore the park's scenery through 360-degree panoramic photographs. Featured locations include:
- The cliffs of the Enchanted Valley,
- The Black Bog marshland,
- The peaks of the Borzhava and Velykyi Dil mountain ranges.
Park History and Global Significance
Located in the Khust district of Ukraine's Zakarpattia region, the Enchanted Land National Nature Park was officially established in 2009. Since 2017, it has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, forming part of the ancient beech forests spanning the Carpathians and other parts of Europe.
“The beauty of the land belongs to everyone,” stated the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
This project highlights a growing commitment to inclusivity in ecotourism and cultural engagement. By leveraging virtual technology, it opens up natural wonders to people with physical disabilities who might otherwise find such sites inaccessible. It also helps raise awareness about protected areas, encouraging broader public participation in environmental conservation efforts.
