The Zaporizhzhia NPP is experiencing a blackout again due to the actions of Russian occupiers. According to 'Glavkom', it is they who caused the loss of external power supply to the station, which poses a threat to the safety of Ukraine and Europe. Even though the power transmission line on Ukrainian territory is operational, the occupiers do not connect the station to the power grid, maintaining control over the energy supply and conducting an information campaign.
There is a call to the international community regarding the danger posed by such a situation. Diesel generators cannot provide stable power to the station for long periods, and their shutdown could threaten the nuclear safety of the facility. The Ministry of Energy urges partners and the international community to pressure Russia to return control of the NPP to its legitimate operator to avoid a potential radiation catastrophe.
The already tenth blackout at the station only heightens concerns about the safety of nuclear infrastructure under occupation. It is essential to immediately regulate the situation to prevent similar negative consequences.
Zaporizhzhia NPP has lost power supply for the second time in one day: the station operates on diesel generators
