Estimated Enemy Combat Losses
The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces has released updated estimates of total Russian combat losses sustained from February 24, 2022, through March 23, 2026. These figures are provisional and subject to further verification. The ongoing conflict, now in its fifth year, continues to exact a heavy toll on Russian military assets.
According to the published data, the estimated number of Russian personnel losses is approximately 1,288,850, an increase of 970 from the previous report. Significant losses in military hardware were also recorded:
- Tanks: 11,794 units (+1)
- Armored Combat Vehicles: 24,268 (+5)
- Artillery Systems: 38,662 (+24)
- Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS): 1,695 (+1)
In the air domain, Russia has lost 435 fixed-wing aircraft and 350 helicopters. Air defense system losses remain unchanged at 1,336 units. Losses of operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are reported at 192,869 units (+1,999). The tally for cruise missiles lost stands at 4,468 units. At sea, the enemy has lost 33 ships and boats, along with 2 submarines. Losses in automotive equipment and fuel tankers amount to 84,775 units (+136), with an additional 4,098 units (+2) of specialized military equipment recorded.
