After completing his education, he worked as a slinger at the Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant, where he established a reputation as a responsible and diligent employee.

A farewell ceremony for Dmytro Bukreiev was held on February 21, 2026, at the Holy Intercession Cathedral in Rivne. Following the service, he was laid to rest in the Avenue of Heroes section of the New Cemetery in Rivne. He is survived by his mother, wife, and son, who will remember him as a kind and radiant soul. His mother recalled that he loved his son, helped his parents, tended a garden and planted trees in his spare time, and enjoyed fishing and spending weekends in nature.
