Pilot death of MiG-29: what is known about the tragedy during landing

46-year-old Major Bondar Serhiy Viktorovych died after completing a combat mission while approaching for landing. The causes and circumstances of the crash are still unknown. The Air Forces expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased pilot.

Incidents in Kherson Region

It is recalled that pilot Valeriy Oshkala along with Roman Chekhun received a task to destroy a column of the enemy in Kherson Region. The Ukrainian bomber coped with the task, hitting a considerable amount of enemy equipment.

In the sky near the village of Bilayivka, an enemy missile hit the Ukrainian Su-24M, and the aircraft fell. The pilot and navigator did not manage to eject.
