The Fall of Defender Andrii Kobiv

Andrii Kobiv, a defender of Ukraine, was killed in action on December 8, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region. This date marked a profound tragedy, as it was also the day of his birth on December 8, 1998, making his story uniquely poignant—his life began and ended on the same calendar day. This somber coincidence underscores the immense personal sacrifices made by Ukraine's soldiers in the ongoing conflict.

Education and Military Service

Kobiv was educated at Secondary School No. 90 in Lviv and graduated from the National University 'Lviv Polytechnic' in 2020. Following his studies, he chose to actively join the defense of his country. In 2025, he voluntarily enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During his service, he was part of the unmanned aerial systems regiment of the Third Army Corps.

Andrii Kobiv was laid to rest on January 17, 2026, at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. His dedication and heroism will remain in the memory of those who knew him and all who honor Ukraine's defenders.
