The Death of Defender Denys Andrusenko
Denys Volodymyrovych Andrusenko, a senior soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed on August 22, 2022, near the settlement of Pavlivka, Volnovakha District, Donetsk Oblast. He was buried on August 29, 2022, at the Lisove Cemetery in Kyiv.
Combat Path and Awards
Denys Andrusenko was born on January 10, 1989, in Kyiv. Throughout his combat path, he participated in fierce battles for Donetsk airport in late 2014 and early 2015. In 2014-2015, he defended the villages of Vodyane, Opytne, Pisky, and Kostyantynivka.
Posthumously, on October 25, 2022, Denys Andrusenko was awarded the Orders of Courage III and II degrees. His bravery and dedication to service will remain in the memory of his compatriots.
