The Death of Serhiy Baranovsky
Ukrainian serviceman Serhiy Baranovsky, aged 36, died in Rivne on February 27, 2026, following a prolonged illness. His passing was a profound loss for his family and all who knew him. Baranovsky was born in the city of Dubno on November 29, 1989. His military career began in 2008 when he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Military Service and Legacy
During his service, Baranovsky participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the subsequent full-scale invasion, carrying out combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions. “He was a very good, cheerful person. Serhiy loved life and wanted to keep living. Away from duty, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.”
