His Life's Journey
Stepan Sapsa was born on October 19, 1970, in the village of Pomoniaty, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. He attended the Pomoniaty Primary School under the Rogatyn City Council. After school, he trained as a milling machine operator at the Lviv Higher Vocational Polytechnic College. Following his education, he worked in the construction sector for private companies. He also completed mandatory military service, which prepared him for his later army duty.
In 2024, Stepan Sapsa chose to defend his country by enlisting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His service on the Donetsk front became a significant chapter in his life, where he demonstrated courage and bravery. After his death, Stepan Sapsa was laid to rest on March 3, 2026, at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv, in field of honor burial plot No. 87 (Pasicna Street). He is survived by his daughter, son, wife, sister, and family, who will remember him as a hero. The conflict in eastern Ukraine, which began in 2014, has seen countless individuals from all walks of life answer the call to serve.
