Award for Heroism
The rescuer from Nikopol, Danilo Khizhnyak, was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree for his heroism while performing his official duties. Danilo Khizhnyak died while fulfilling his responsibilities, rescuing people and eliminating the consequences of enemy shelling during repeated attacks.
The Order of Courage of the III degree was awarded by a decree of the President of Ukraine. The award was presented to the family of the deceased by Vitaliy Myroniuk, the First Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. This award is a recognition of the courage and selflessness of the rescuer in difficult conditions.
