The occupiers have begun to use new guided aerial bombs with a jet engine to attack Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepts them.
According to the Chief of the Communications Department of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, the Russian troops are currently testing these aerial bombs in a limited manner to check the reaction of the Ukrainian air defense system. New modifications of KABs have already been spotted in the sky over Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Poltava regions.
According to Ignat, these aerial bombs are similar in parameters to cruise missiles, which allows them to be intercepted by Ukrainian air defense systems. The Air Command 'South' has already successfully shot down two of these projectiles, while a third fell in open territory without causing any harm.
Ukraine strengthens its defense capabilities
Ignat emphasized that despite Russia's attempts to improve its means of destruction, Ukraine continues to enhance its defense capabilities together with international partners. The issue is being investigated by Ukrainian specialists who study the new type of aerial bombs that have become a threat to the cities of our country.
Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercept new reactive guided aerial bombs that the occupiers have started using in Ukraine. Despite this, Ukraine is strengthening its defense capabilities, cooperating with partners, and researching new threats together with Ukrainian experts.
