Support for those returning from captivity
At a time when Ukrainians are returning from captivity, it is important to know that they have the right to assistance and support. Rehabilitation centers and hospitals are ready to provide them with free services. Their relatives can also count on help both during their captivity and after their release.
“At the initial stage, the functionality is available to those who have recently been released from captivity. Over time, it will be open to all servicemen and civilians who have experienced the experience of being in Russian detention facilities during Russian aggression. For identification and to expedite the search, families should also pay attention to the complete filling of the Personal Cabinet including photographic materials,” the message states.
The Coordinating Staff for the Treatment of Prisoners of War is introducing a new unique functionality for Ukrainian defenders and civilians to exchange information about other prisoners.
Returning from captivity is just the beginning of the path to normalizing life and receiving the necessary support. Ukrainian military and civilians have the right to assistance and to return to their daily rhythm after a difficult period in captivity. There is always hope for a better future, especially when there is support from the community and the state.
